DescriptionStraight alto saxophone. Gold/brass lacquer. Fingered range Bb to high F. Has G# trill key and alternate Eb, but no front altissimo F mechanism. The spatula key design is a typical Buescher design: the G# key is not included in the spatula keys and is offset higher and given a mother-of-pearl touchpiece. Keywork is identical to any other Buescher alto of the period, the bell has merely been constructed as a continuous long conical tube with no bend. The bell flares slightly at very end of instrument. The neck has a less drastic bend than on other altos. One of relatively few straight altos to survive.
DimensionsTotal length: ca. 41-1/2 in
Bell diameter: 4-1/2 in
