Signedstamped on stick: A. VIGNERON A PARISDescriptionThe bow stick is round and cut from pernambuco wood.
Ebony frog with silver mountings, curved heel and small pearl eyes set in silver circles.
Screwbutton has a silver cap.
The slide on the frog is mother-of-pearl.
The silver ferrule is bending backwards slightly.
The thumb-grip is quite worn as is the spot on the stick where the little finger is placed –
both of these points suggest that this bow was used a great deal.
