DescriptionDark-stained maple in 4 sections: wing, butt, long, and bell joints. Brass ferrules and keywork. Standard English system with 8 keys with flat, round covers, mounted in saddles. Flat key springs attached to body on butt and long joints, and attached to the keys on wing joint. F key with swallow-tail touchpiece design. Brass bocal with reed.

ProvenancePreviously owned by Friedrich Von Huene, Brookline, Massachusetts, who purchased it at Christie's or Sotheby's auction house, in the late 1970s. In September 1988, sold by Von Huene to the NMM. Funds given by Mrs. Clark Y. (Ethel) Gunderson of Vermillion, a founding member of the museum's Board of Trustees, in memory of her father, Charles Lyckholm.
