DescriptionPeter Lieberman, working under the brand Maui Music, is a celebrated ukulele maker formerly based in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, now working on the East Coast. This 8-string tenor taropatch is made of traditional koa wood.

Stringing: eight nylon strings
Soundboard: one-piece koa with broad curl
Back: one-piece koa with broad curl
Sides: two-piece koa with nocurl
Head: Spanish cedar veneered with narrow-curled koa over red hardwood veneer; integral with neck
Neck: Spanish cedar; integral with head
Heel cap: none
Binding: ivoroid with abalone trim surrounded on each side by thin ivory and black plastic strips, on top only
Fretboard: rosewood; 20 brass T-frets; abalone dots behind 5th, 7th, and 10th frets; very small ivory plastic side dots behind dots behind 5th, 7th, and 10th frets
Nut: ivory plastic
Bridge: koa tie bridge; rosewood saddle
Tuners: two sets of gold-plated tuners with pearloid head
Rosette: abalone surrounded on each side by thin ivory and plastic strip trim, then a wider piece of ivory plastic trim
Finish: clear
Linings: kerfed Spanish cedar
Neck block: Spanish cedar

Top braces: two Spanish cedar transverse braces with tapered ends above and below soundhole; three Spanish cedar fan braces with tapered ends
