Description3 sections: headjoint, one-piece body and barrel, and foot joint (instrument has 2 headjoints in total); Boehm system with cylindrical body and "parabolic" head joints; solid silver body and keywork; 15 touchpieces; closed holes; inline G; closed G-sharp; Briccialdi B-flat; roller touches for C and B; teardrop-shaped D-sharp key; trill keys for D and D-sharp; seamed tubing; soldered toneholes with beveled edges; gold-plated, engraved banner on barrel (unmarked), over a frieze of vine foliage, and stylized top and bottom bands; B-foot joint with Badger's adjusting screw; crutch plate (crutch missing).
Silver headjoint: Badger's "Full Head" or barrel; solid silver; seamed tubing; barrel-type embouchure plate with wooden core sheated in metal; embouchure hole has oblong shape; gold-plated, scalloped-shape signature plaque surrounded by stylized engravings; the edges of the barrel, and adjacent ferrules are engraved with stylized foliage friezes.
Wooden headjoint: Badger's thinned; darkwood (cocus or grenadilla); silver ferrules and tenon (seamed tubing); raised lip embouchure plate; embouchure hole has oval shape.
