Top: two-piece, quarter-cut spruce: medium grain
Back: two-piece maple cut slightly off-the-quarter: very narrow curl descending slightly from center joint
Ribs: quarter-cut maple: narrow curl angled to right; chamfered corners stained black
Head and neck: maple: broad curl; pegbox and scroll edges chamfered and stained black
Edging: deeply cut recurve, particularly in corners where bee sting is offset
Varnish: dark brown shaded to light brown
Fingerboard: ebony; decoratively cut bottom edge
Nut: ebony
Tailpiece: ebony with small mother-of-pearl eye
Tailgut: black plastic
Pegs: four ebony with mother-of-pearl eyes
Saddle: ebony
