DescriptionThis trumpet by Johann Sattler is a representative of US Patent 2,106,281, applied for on August 15, 1936, and granted on January 25, 1938. The objectives of the patent for push-rod operated rotary valves are to provide a device for the musician to play with less effort, by shortening the finger movement and reduce the accumulation of saliva in the slides by making them wider.

Brass, lacquered. Three rotary valves operated by piston action. Mother-of-pearl touchpieces. Quick-change pushrod.
