Top: two-piece, quarter-cut spruce: fine grain
Back: two-piece, quarter-cut maple: narrow curl descending from center joints; maple dowel through back into top block, under purfling; maple dowel through back into bottom block, under purfling; button chamfer painted black
Ribs: quarter-cut maple: medium curl; one-piece lower rib with notches at top and bottom indicating center position; rib corners chamfered
Head and neck: maple: narrow curl; scroll and pegbox chamfers painted black
Varnish: medium red-orange
Fingerboard: maple with rectangular ebony veneer inlaid over most of surface; wedge shaped with notches at neck heel position; short
Nut: bone
Tailpiece: maple with rectangular ebony veneer inlaid over most of surface; simple drilled string holes; tailgut passes through holes drilled in face
