DescriptionBrass, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, double loop in S-shaped formation, [B-flat]/A tuning slide at first bow, main tuning slide at second bow, fixed leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, nickel-plated brass pistons, single water key at first bow, windway 3-2-1.

This cornet survives with the A tuning slide only.

Dating is based on the number "14" inside a pomegranate below the signature. A similar model was offered in a 1915 catalog as Hippodrome model cornet by San Francisco dealer Sherman, Clay & Co., sole agents for Couesnon & Cie. Band Instruments in the Western United States.
