Alfred Squire (1829-1890) was a music publisher and musical instrument dealer in Cincinnati, Ohio. This cornet shows features, in particular the acorn-shaped finger hook, that suggest that it may have been manufactured by Couesnon & Cie in Paris and imported to the United States.
