DescriptionSilver-plated brass, tuning slide at slide bow; bell engraved with seven-petal flower and lavish foliage, extending below and above the signature up to the bell brace.

Slide cornets were used for special glissando and novelty effects in vaudeville and jazz orchestras. The definition as slide cornet, rather than slide trumpet, results from the use of a cornet-size mouthpiece and receiver.
