DescriptionBrass, German-silver finger button, straight, two parts (leadpipe/valve segment; seperate bell), telescopic tuning slide at leadpipe and bell slide, both slides with ligature screw, separate bell, one Berlin valve, lowering the pitch by a whole tone, bottom-sprung, alignment by key on nickel-plated brass piston.

New York dealer Carl Fischer lists "Aida Trumpets" in catalogs from about 1918 and 1923. Both catalogs illustrate a three-valve straight trumpet in two parts to facilitate transportation. The earlier catalog offers Aida Trumpets in B-natural, B-flat and A-flat, and with one, two or three valves. In the later catalog, only the three-valve Aida Trumpet appears and is praised as a "Very effective novelty in Drum Corps. Very attractive when used on parade." For this purpose, the key of B-flat is suitable. While for use in opera houses, the two slides of this instrument can be extended, thereby, lowering the pitch to A-flat.
