This instrument was built in June 1977, according to its serial number (G = 1970s, F = June, 7 = 1977). The “8” in the serial number indicates that it was considered a member of the “Baritone Horn & Euphonium” group. The model number on the bell “15-I” usually refers to a three-valve, bell up B-flat euphonium with front action. This indicates that a 15-I model euphonium bell was used for this special-design bell-front baritone horn in 9-foot B-flat.
