DescriptionBrass, nickel-silver finger buttons, double loop, tuning slide at second bow, removable leadpipe (shank), three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring outside stem, alignment by one key on piston (brass), single water key at first bow, windway 3-2-1.

B-flat tuning shank of brass.

"Marceau & Co. Paris" was a trade name of Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Chicago. This particular cornet model was offered under the trade name "Marceau Band Instruments" from 1899 to 1909, and very likely manufactured by Bohland & Fuchs in Graslitz, Bohemia, not in Paris.
