DescriptionSilver-plated brass, satin-finish, double loop, dummy tube completes circle, main tuning slide at first bow for high/low pitch, fixed leadpipe, three front-action Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), bottom-sprung, alignment by key on piston (nickel-plated brass), single water key at main tuning slide, windway 3-2-1.

Henry August Pollmann (1846-1913), who descended from brass instrument makers in Markneukirchen (Germany), acted primarily as a dealer of brasswinds. The floral engravings on the bell of this instrument represent a style common in the Vogtland region of Saxony.
