DescriptionBrass (body), German silver (leadpipe, ferrules, valve parts, finger hooks, pull rings, and water key), single loop, main tuning slide at first bow, three mechanical-linkage rotary valves (1, ½, 1½), horseshoe stop, coil-spring return, vertical placement of finger buttons and push rods to be played like a piston-valve trumpet, water key at main tuning slide, windway 3-2-1.

Silver mouthpiece, unmarked.

This G piccolo trumpet has the same principal valve design as the 2¼-foot B-flat piccolo trumpet (NMM 6799) by Kurt Scherzer, except that the push rods are straight and more modern, likely indicating a sightly later date.
