DescriptionBrass, nickel-silver (leadpipe, inner slides, thumb hook, finger buttons and lower valve-cap rims), mother-of-pearl inlay (finger buttons), single loop, main tuning slide at first bow, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), valve casing with sleeves, top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, nickel-silver pistons, single water keys at main tuning slide and third valve slide, trigger with thumb hook at first valve and with adjustable pull-ring at third valve, windway 3-2-1.

The patent referred to on the second valve casing is US Patent No. 2,181,346, filed by Henri Selmer on July 10, 1937, and granted November 28, 1939. The objective of this patent was not to hard-solder any tubing with high temperatures directly onto the valve casing to avoid its deformation. The solution was to hard-solder the tubing onto a sleeve surrounding the valve casing. This sleeve was then soft-soldered with lower temperatures onto the valve casing, and could be easily removed for repair.
