DescriptionBrass, double loop, tuning slide at second bow, three double-piston valves (1, ½, 1½), short handles and flat springs (Old Mainz type).
This narrow-bore trumpet type (sometimes called post horn) was produced by several early brasswind makers in Boston and New England. It is based on a German double-piston valve trumpet model, known in Mainz and Saxony.
