DescriptionSilver-plated brass, double loop, main tuning slide at second bow, quick-change to A slide with push rod at third bow, fixed leadpipe, C attachment substituting for main tuning slide and bypassing leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, nickel-plated brass pistons, single water keys at each tuning slide and at C attachment, windway 3-2-1.

Unstamped silver-plated brass cornet mouthpiece; alternative leadpipe for C (C attachment); alternative first valve slide; silver lyre.

"American Professional" was an affordable line, manufactured in house by Lyon & Healy in Chicago. This model was offered as No. G1677 in a catalog of Lyon & Healy "Band Instruments and Uniforms," published in 1912.
