John Samuel Duss was a noted musician and conductor. According to Pat Missin (player, technician and historian),he had branded harmonicas made. It is uncertain who manufactured the harmonicas in Germany; however, John Whiteman (collector and historian) mentions a possible link to F. A. Bohm.

Only made/distributed between about 1900-1915, and certainly not after World War I.
