Son-in-law and successor of maker Christopher (Adam) Gerock.

Described as a Gerock employee in 1828; married Gerock’s daughter Sabrina Susannah in 1831.

Gerock and Wolf collaborated with Theobald Boehm for a "Newly-Invented Patent Flute" (1831 - no patent granted though), and an improvement of the pianoforte by cross-stringing (1834).

Known as "Wolf & Figg" between 1846-1849.
