DescriptionSilver-plated brass, bell interior gold-plated, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, two loops (one following the other, not overlapping), main tuning slide at first bow, quick-change to A with stop rod between first and third valve, fixed leadpipe (constructed to look like removable shank), three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, pistons nickel-plated brass, single water keys (main tuning slide, quick-change), windway 2-1-3

Although referring to US patent no. 343,889 from June 15, 1886, in the stamp on the second valve, the instrument is actually constructed according to US patent no. 676,029 from June 11, 1901.
