DescriptionBrass, lacquered, leadpipe of different alloy (more zinc), nickel-silver (inner slides and lower valve caps), mother-of-pearl finger buttons, single loop, main tuning slide at first bow, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, nickel-silver pistons, single water keys at main tuning slide and third valve slide, trigger with pull-ring at third valve, windway 3-2-1.
This trumpet implements Henri Selmer's US Patent 2,181,346, filed July 10, 1937, granted November 28, 1939, for outer metal sleeves that surround the valve casings where tubing enters and exits.
