DescriptionBrass, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, double loop, main tuning slide at first bow, second tuning slide at second bow, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring outside hollow stem, alignment by one key on nickel-silver-plated pistons, single water key at main tuning slide, windway 3-2-1.

The lyre (stamped BRUNO) that survives with this 6-foot F orchestral trumpet suggests that the instrument may have been sold by Charles Bruno in New York, and also used for marching. The trumpet itself is unmarked.
