DescriptionBrass body; German-silver garland with straight upper edge, stamped, dotted lines; Saxon rim with iron wire insert; ferrules with engraved lines.
Natural trumpets were rarely built in the nominal pitch of 9-foot B-flat, the key of the tenor trombone. This instrument could have served as a bass trumpet in a brass ensemble that combined natural trumpets in a variety of keys.
