DescriptionEllis W. Newton (born July 12, 1881 in Illinois) is listed as a violin maker and piano tuner working from home in Ottumwa, Iowa in 1930. His son Stanley G. Newton, also a violin maker, is listed as a piano tuner in the Census. Ellis W. died in January 1971 in Centerville, Iowa, according to the Social Security Death Index.
