Four widely spaced illegible or erased letters follow "1804". The abbreviation after the "A" (i.e., "Anno") is covered by a later small wooden reinforcement glued over a weak section of the shell.
DescriptionWalnut shell and rims, each with eight drilled holes through which the rope passes. Rope tension with eight leather tugs. Brass J-hook snare adjuster.
