DescriptionStained wood with ivory ferrule and two brass keys. The vox humana was a tenor oboe with a simple, straight profile. During the second half of the 18th century it was frequently used in ensembles consisting mostly of double-reed instruments that accompanied choirs and congregational singing in country churches.
