Back: one-piece galvanized sheet steel; pounded to shape; steel pin through bottom of fingerboard, top, and back in upper bouts; steel pin through back in lower bouts; nail through button into neck heel
Ribs: galvanized sheet steel; soldered to top and back; bent up along base of neck heel, and nailed twice on each side
Head and neck: maple: plain; tapered portion extends 42 mm over top; extra turn on scroll
Arching: high and full
Purfling: thinned double line in varnish around edges (following outline of back button) and f-holes
Decoration: varnish thinned to form decoration: two concentric hearts on back upper bouts; five chevron lines on back, lower bouts
Varnish: dark red-brown
Fingerboard: black-stained maple; tapered, widest at upper bout of top, and abruptly thinner toward lower end, the junction between different thicknesses rounded off; minimal curvature; large maple dowels through fingerboard into neck, one at center, one at neck heel; two over upper bouts
Nut: black-stained oak; long
Tailpiece: black-stained maple; grooved carved in face instead of saddle, does not fully extend to edges; rounded edges
Tailgut: multiple strands of thin steel wire
Pegs: three black-varnished pearwood with mother-of-pearl eyes; one ebony with mother-of-pearl eye
Saddle: rolled, rectangular sheet of galvanized sheet steel
Endpin: steel pin with turned groove; finished with same varnish as body
F-holes: curved wings; no notches
