Top: one-piece spruce cut off-the-quarter: wide grain
Back: one-piece, slab-cut maple: plain; artificial narrow curl stained on back, ascending slightly from treble to bass
Ribs: side ribs: quarter-cut maple: plain with artificial narrow, stained curl, angled to right on bass side, angled to left on treble side; bottom rib: semi-slab-cut maple: plain with artificial narrow, stained curl, angled to right; upper ribs: quarter-cut spruce: fine grain; integral with top block
Head and neck: maple: plain; artificial narrow, stained curl on neck only; pegbox terminates in trapezoidal block with maple relief-carved flower appliqué; open pegbox back

Edging: edges do not overhang ribs; slightly rounded
