DescriptionSilver-plated brass, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, double loop, two tuning slides (second and third bows), fixed leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by three unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, brass pistons, single water key (first bow), windway W 3-2-1.
Later model “Three Star Ne Plus Ultra” cornet with fixed leadpipe. Different from NMM 6948, this cornet is just for B-flat and has no stopping mechanism for A at the main tuning slide.
