DescriptionSilver-plated brass, bell-interior and valve caps gold-plated, finger buttons white, red and gold enamel inlay (“KEEFER” in gold letters superimposed on white eagle holding golden trumpet on red ground), double loop, main tuning slide at second bow (alternative without and with rotary-valve quick-change to A), second tuning slide at third bow, fixed leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by three unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, nickel-silver pistons, single water key (first bow), windway 3-2-1.
“Oxford model” with fixed leadpipe, based on a Distin catalog from before 1909, when Keefer became the proprietor. According to the stamp on the second valve casing, this cornet is medium bore size and intended for high pitch.
