Description5 sections: barrel, top joint, middle joint, bottom joint, bell. Simple system; 6 brass keys with square, flat covers, mounted in blocks, with springs attached to keys; boxwood body; ivory ferrules; sixth key is a A/B trill; cocus (?) mouthpiece with long tenon.

The instrument is preserved with an original leather pouch bearing the name of a possible owner: "Jonathan Naggs, Little Town, Nov. 22, 1849."
