Description3 sections: headjoint, one-piece body and barrel, and foot joint. Cylindrical Boehm system (1847) with open holes. Silver body and keywork. 15 touchpieces. Offset G. Closed G-sharp. Briccialdi B-flat key. Trill keys: B, D, D-sharp. Split E mechanism (added later). Barrel embouchure.

ProvenanceDonor was a flutist in the Milwaukee Symphony before moving to Idaho in 1967. Had most of the flutes then, and exhibited them in Idaho. Donor is Professor Emeritus of Flute and former Director of the Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho. He is a recognized flute instructor and clinician in the United States, Canada and Europe. An active and highly respected charter member of the National Flute Association, he appears frequently at association events as a performer, speaker and clinician. He is also a consultant for Gemeinhardt Co., Inc., where his extensive work in research and development has contributed to modern flute design.
