Simple free-reed signal instrument in which the single-reed is activated by a rubber air pump. This model is listed as “Eisenbahnhuppe” (train whistle) in Julius Heinrich Zimmermann’s Musikinstrumente, a catalog of musical instruments, published in Leipzig in 1908.
