DescriptionNon-playable trumpet built for use as a prop in the Bee Gee’s movie “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” (1978). Heart-shaped with the letters “SP” appearing in the valve tubing configuration just below three piston valves. In the film, the instrument is referred to as a cornet. Silver-plated brass with three piston valves.
ProvenancePurchased from the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall, Phoenix, Arizona, 1998. According to the Brass Armadillo Mall, “We inherited it from William Harwood (who was in the movie industry) after he passed away in 1993.”
