DescriptionMetal casings, wooden comb painted light green, 2 reed plates with 20 brass reeds each. 10 double holes with each compartment housing 2 reeds, 4 reeds per hole ( 2 blow and 2 draw). The casings also have green paint. The comb is teardrop shaped, with the holes on the large end.
This design variation of the classic Hohner Marine Band harmonica is very rare, and does not show in Hohner catalogs. Looking at it end-on, the combs have an elongated teardrop shape. The covers are set into the sides of the comb, curving down to just above the mouthpiece in front and bent back to meet the comb at the rear. There is a vertical green stripe in the center of each cover. The comb is painted green except for the outer ends which are black, outlined with a silver border.
