MarkingsStamped below signature: 191Description4 sections: headjoint, barrel, body, and foot joint. Cocus(?) wood body with silver keywork and trim. Headjoint and barrel fully lined with metal. Conical bore. Boehm system (1832) with 10 keys (1 plateau key, and 4 rings). Closed keys: B-C trill lever, D and D-sharp trill keys, D-sharp. Articulated keys: C, B, B-flat, G-sharp, F, c-sharp', c'. Lowest note c'. Lowest two keys fitted with pewter plugs, the toneholes for which are encircled with silverplated plates screwed into the toneholes. Rudall & Rose’s patent headjoint with telescoping tuning slide and metal tenons (1832). Nickel-silver endcap, screwed onto headjoint.
